This qualification reflects the role of individuals with significant experience in a senior administrative role who are seeking to develop expertise across a wider range of business functions. The qualification is suited to individuals who possess significant theoretical business skills and knowledge and wish to consolidate and build pathways to further educational or employment opportunities.

This course is delivered over 52 weeks of full time study at 20 hours per week of scheduled class time at the Skills Institute Australia training facility. This includes six weeks holidays.

Delivery method
This qualification is delivered face-to-face in the classroom. There is a new intake each month.
Pre-requisites
All students must be at least 18 years of age.
Academic requirements:
- Satisfactory completion of year 12 or equivalent
- Overseas students require a language proficiency of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
There are no specific academic prerequisites for any of the units in this course, however it is preferred that individuals considering this qualification have achieved the Diploma of Business or other relevant qualifications, or have extensive vocational experience in a range of environments, acting in a range of senior support or technical roles.

This course provides participants with the skills to obtain the occupational position across various industrial sectors. Job roles and titles vary across these different industry sectors. Possible job titles relevant to this qualification include:

Academic pathways
Individuals who successfully complete the Advanced Diploma of Business may continue to tertiary study in the field of business or management.

Students who have completed any of the units of study or have practical experience that may be used for recognition of prior learning must contact Skills Institute Australia prior to enrollment.
Assessment
As this is a competency based program, assessment continues throughout the duration of the course until the participant either achieves competency in the assessment tasks or a further training need is identified and addressed.
